THE SECOND INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TURKISH-ARMENIAN RELATIONS AND GREAT POWERS ORGANIZED BY ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY IN ERZURUM ENDS TODAY

The Second International Symposium on Turkish-Armenian Relations and Great Powers organized, by Atatürk University in Erzurum which started on Wednesday May 6th, will end today. The first two days of the symposium was completed following the opening speeches and twenty panels, some of which were held simultaneously. The symposium will be completed today with five panels and an evaluation meeting.

 

AVIM President Alev Kılıç will moderate a panel on the ‘Vocational Formation of the Armenian Population in the Ottoman Rural Scene During the Tanzimat Era’, Museums as a Propaganda Instrument: ‘Armenian Genocide Museum’, Armenian Deputies of Erzurum in the Ottoman Chamber of Deputies and Their Activities’ and ‘The Status of Armenians of Bulgaria in the Democracy Era within the Context of Minority Rights (1989-2015)’.

 

A final declaration will be issued at the end of the ‘Second International Symposium on Turkish-Armenian Relations and Great Powers’, which was held in 6-8 May with the participation of more than one hundred Turkish and foreign scholars.
