AVIM held a symposium titled "Prospects for Turkish-Armenian Relations" at Ankara Palas.
 
Moderated by Alev Kılıç, Panel I, "Current State of Turkish -Armenian Relations" contained the following presentations: Altay Cengizer - In Light of Just Memory, Jeremy Salt - The "Armenian Question": A Narrative Protected by "Denial", Orhan Gaffarlı - Azerbaijan and the Normalization Process of Turkish-Armenian Relations, Maxime Gauin - Time to Understand Armenian Nationalism.
 
To be moderated by  Pulat Tacar, Panel II, titled "Past Tragedies and the Legal Dimension", will have the following presentations: Michael M. Gunter - The Ambiguity of Genocide, M. Hakan Yavuz – Past Tragedies and the Present, Uluç Gürkan – The Malta Tribunals
 
To be moderated by Ömer Engin Lütem, Panel III, titled Historical Aspects of the Controversy, will have the following presentations: Tal Buenos - The Cyclicality of the Genocide Accusation, Seçil Karal Akgün - The General Harbord Report, Christopher Gunn - Secret Armies & Revolutionary Federations: The Rise and Fall of Armenian Political Violence (1973-1994)
