Iraq chaired the third coordination meeting to prepare for the Arab-Russian Summit on Wednesday.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, chaired the third coordination meeting of the Arab Group concerned with preparing for the Arab-Russian Summit, scheduled to be held on October 15, 2025, in Moscow, with the participation of leaders, kings, and presidents from Arab countries."

The statement added that "the meeting included discussions of the Arab-Russian cooperation plan for the period 2026–2028, within the framework of the forum that brings together the two sides, which aims to enhance joint coordination and expand areas of cooperation in various political, economic, cultural, and scientific sectors."
