Iraq's Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed to his Palestinian counterpart, Mohammed Mustafa, on Wednesday, Iraq's rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people.

The ministry said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, made a phone call with Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Mustafa, during which they discussed developments in the situation in Palestine after the ceasefire and ways to enhance joint coordination to support the Palestinian people."

Hussein stressed - according to the statement - "Iraq's firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the rejection of any attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people and the importance of unifying efforts to enhance their steadfastness on their land."
