Georgian FM Maka Botchorishvili said she discussed with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan the ongoing processes in South Caucasus and the importance of peace and stability in the region.

“Georgia has a sincere desire to see peace and stability in this region,” the Georgian FM said at a joint press conference with FM Mirzoyan on Thursday.

“We are ready to do everything we can to achieve this goal, to be sure that our region is stable, peaceful and prosperous. We hope that the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be concluded with the kind of terms that would be mutually acceptable. Only this can be the basis for regional stability and sustainable peace. And we must rely on this foundation to use the potential of our region,” she added.
