A day after Beijing and Washington agreed to extend a 90-day tariff truce, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday called for expanding channels of communication and consultation with the US.

Wang hosted a delegation from the board of directors of the US-China Business Council (USCBC) in Beijing, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

China’s policy toward the US will remain “consistent and stable,” Wang said, emphasizing that ties should be governed by “mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.”
