Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) hosted a high-level delegation from two leading think tanks of Uzbekistan on Friday, 19 June 2026. During the consultative meeting held as part of the visit, productive discussions were conducted to strengthen academic and strategic cooperation between the think tanks of the two countries.

The Uzbek delegation led by Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov (Director of the Institute for International Relations and Cooperation Development - IICA), included Dr. Eldor Tulyakov (Director of the Development Strategy Center), Dr. Nizomiddin Ziyamov (Chief Researcher at IICA), Mr. Kamalov Kallibek (Senior Research Fellow at IICA), and Mr. Shukhrat Tukhtabaev (Chief Specialist at the Center for Foreign Policy Studies).

The sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and regional developments. The parties held comprehensive discussions particularly on the future of Türkiye-Central Asia relations, opportunities for economic integration, security and stability issues, as well as sustainable cooperation mechanisms between think tanks.

Both sides reached an agreement to carry out joint research projects, academic publications, expert exchange programs, and conferences in the upcoming period. In this framework, they decided to take concrete steps to enhance the sharing of knowledge and experience.
