We regret to inform you that the conference titled "Bishkek Summit: New Horizons for Cooperation Among the Members of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)" scheduled for December 20, 2024, has been postponed due to the illness of our esteemed speaker, Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman.

AVİM'S ONLINE THEMATIC SESSION ON MIDDLE CORRIDOR IN THE HITIT UNIVERSITY SECURITY STUDIES CONGRESS

An online panel discussion on the Middle Corridor will take place on Saturday, 14 December, from 13:30 to 15:00, as part of the Hitit University Security Studies Congress.

THE 50TH ISSUE OF THE JOURNAL "REVIEW OF ARMENIAN STUDIES (RAS)" PUBLISHED

We are delighted to announce the publication of the landmark 50th issue of the Review of Armenian Studies (RAS), a testament to our enduring commitment to providing insightful scholarly analysis on Armenian-and Caucasus related issues. This milestone issue not only honors the memory of our esteemed founder, Ambassador (R.) Dr. Ömer Engin Lütem, but also underscores our ongoing dedication to fostering a deep understanding across the disciplines of History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, and Law.

THE 76TH ISSUE OF ERMENİ ARAŞTIRMALARI JOURNAL PUBLISHED

The 76th issue of the Ermeni Araştırmaları journal contains one editorial, four research articles, and one translated article. 

THE TURKISH NATION RESPECTFULLY COMMEMORATES ATATÜRK ON THE 86TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS PASSING AWAY

The staff of the Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM), along with the entire Turkish nation, respectfully commemorates the beloved memory of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the 86th anniversary of his passing away.

PROF. DR. İLYAS DOĞAN PASSED AWAY

We are deeply saddened to announce that Prof. Dr. İlyas Doğan, a distinguished member of the ICH journal's Advisory Board, has passed away on Sunday, 27 October.

THE 25TH ISSUE OF THE JOURNAL "INTERNATIONAL CRIMES AND HISTORY (UST / ICH)" HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

We are proud to announce the publication of the 25th issue of Uluslararası Suçlar ve Tarih / International Crimes and History (UST / ICH), marking another milestone in contributing to the fields of international law and historical analysis. 

BOOK REVIEW: GREEK ATROCITIES IN ANATOLIA ACCORDING TO ITALIAN SOURCES (1919-1922) - Mevlüt ÇELEBİ

The book titled “Greek Atrocities in Anatolia According to Italian Sources (1919-1922)” and written by Mevlüt Çelebi will take its place as one of the most valuable studies on the subject. The book is prepared on the basis of very rich and original sources, the majority of which are Italian archival documents and the Italian newspapers of the period, and fills a very important gap in the literature on this subject.

WORKSHOP ON "WATER SECURITY IN THE EUPHRATES-TIGRIS BASIN AND THE EUROPEAN UNION WATER FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE" HELD

On March 12, 2024, a workshop titled "Water Security in the Euphrates-Tigris Basin and the European Union Water Framework Directive" was organized by the Ankara University European Communities Research and Application Center (ATAUM), the Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM), and the Hydropolitics Association. The event took place at the ATAUM Board of Directors Hall.

AVİM CELEBRATES 30 AUGUST VICTORY DAY

Türkiye celebrates the victory of 102 years ago under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Mustafa Kemal Atatürk that concluded the Turkish War of Liberation. As AVİM, we wholeheartedly join the celebrations of our people’s and country's 30 August Victory Day.

LAUSANNE PEACE TREATY

The Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) celebrates the 101th anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, which paved the way for the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye.

CONSULTATION MEETING BETWEEN AVİM AND WARSAW-BASED CENTRE FOR EASTERN STUDIES (OSW) ANALYSTS

On 9 July 2024, Warsaw-based Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) analysts visited AVİM to discuss recent developments in Central and Eastern Europe, the Wider Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia.
