Representatives of the “Turkmendemiryollary” Agency (Turkmen Railways) and the Afghan Railway Administration agreed to increase the volume of traffic on the Serhetabad-Turgundi railway line, Turkmenportal reported with reference to the Afghan Railway Administration.

According to the source, the parties agreed to increase transit through the railways of Turkmenistan, on the safe transportation of commercial cargo and on improving the management of the port of Turgundi.

At the same time, it was noted that at the moment most of the imports arrive in Afghanistan through the territory of Uzbekistan.
