Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, confirmed on Wednesday the existence of joint cooperation with Iraq regarding the Development Road Project, while indicating his country's readiness to provide all necessary support for the project.

Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Relations between Turkey and Iraq are progressing professionally in various fields, including water, counterterrorism, trade, and other matters. In all of these areas, there are agreements between the Iraqi and Turkish sides." He noted that "a brief visit or what the two sides sign cannot meet all needs. Therefore, we believe it is necessary for the relevant institutions to meet and cooperate to achieve several areas, such as the Development Road Project."

He explained that "Iraq wants to implement the Development Road project. This is an Iraqi project that requires a connection to Turkey. But who will implement this project, who will implement it, and what is the financing mechanism for this project? Therefore, institutions must cooperate and work together." He noted that "two important institutions from the Iraqi and Turkish sides have met to find financing mechanisms for this project."
