Relations between Tajikistan and Russia continue to develop, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon said at the start of his bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, TASS reported.

"Tajikistan and Russia are long-standing strategic partners and allies. It is gratifying that our relations are steadily developing," Rahmon stated. He also emphasized that Russia remains Tajikistan's leading trade and economic partner, highlighting the ongoing growth of cultural and humanitarian ties. Rahmon added that he is prepared to discuss prospects for further cooperation with his Russian counterpart.
