BAGHDAD - Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that several articles of a law to revive the Iraqi National Oil Company (INOC) were unconstitutional - effectively sending the government back to the drawing board in its efforts to restructure the country's oil sector.

The verdict strikes down so many key provisions in the law that, in order to create INOC, the Cabinet will first have to produce an amended draft and the Parliament will have to re-legislate the new text, according to senior government officials and technical experts.
