Azerbaijan`s SOCAR AQS LLC and KCA Deutag, one of the world`s leading drilling and engineering contractors, will sign a joint venture (JV) contract, according to the SOCAR AQS LLC. The signing ceremony will be held on July 26 in Baku. The contract envisages drilling and rendering maintenance services for seven BP platforms at the Central Azeri, East Azeri, West Azeri, Chirag and West Chirag, Deepwater Gunashli and the Shah Deniz gas condensate field.

KCA Deutag has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1995. The head office of the company is located in Aberdeen, UK.

SOCAR-AQS LLC was established as an integrated drilling and well services management company between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Absheron Drilling Company (AQS) in 2007. At present, SOCAR-AQS is conducting drilling at the Gunashli, Western Absheron, Umid and Bulla Deniz fields.
