President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will receive President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel this week, press secretary of the President Sherzod Asadov said on October 24.

The meeting participants will discuss the sovereignty of Uzbekistan and the European Union in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and will exchange views on topical regional and international issues.

Mirziyoyev will visit Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on October 27 to participate in the European Union - Central Asia summit.
