Ambassador of Hungary Sandor Dorogi talked about bilateral cooperation, start of direct flights in an interview with AKIpress news agency.

- How would you describe current bilateral relations?

- Today our relations and our cooperation are developing very dynamically. Especially since 2015, when our Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó started negotiations with Kyrgyz partners, when we started meetings. There was a year when our minister visited Kyrgyzstan three times. Thus, our relations are developing very intensively.

- Why is Hungary interested in cooperation with Turkic states?

- Hungary has been always greatly interested in the East. In 2010, our new government announced Eastern Opening policy. As part of this policy, we are trying to pay more attention to the Eastern countries, Eastern regions, including the Turkic states. Our government made a political decision that together with the observer status in the Turkic Council, we should have embassies in all member states of the Turkic Council.
