President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has proposed a new format of cooperation with South Korea based on advanced technologies, production chains, digital infrastructure, and transport and energy corridors, The Chosun Daily reported.

In an interview with the South Korean newspaper, Mirziyoyev described Uzbekistan and South Korea as long-standing partners and close friends and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in promising areas.

He said combining South Korea’s technological capabilities with Uzbekistan’s resource and economic potential could create new sources of growth in such sectors as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, electric vehicles, biopharmaceuticals and smart agriculture.
