Serbia is the latest to join the boycott, a trend that started in Croatia and quickly caught on in other Western Balkan(*) countries.

The Association for Consumer Protection, Efektiva, called on consumers in Serbia to boycott five major retail chains, due to their excessive pricing.

(*) AVİM considers the term "Western Balkans" to be a politically motivated separatist terminology and insists on the use of the geographical and historical identification "Balkans" regarding the region.
