The Serbian government announced this, adding that First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will travel to Vienna and participate in the forum's session.

The Forum for Security Cooperation is a separate negotiating body established within the OSCE, with the mandate to examine issues related to military aspects of security in the OSCE region, the government said, citing a statement issued by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that added:
"This forum represents a kind of platform for dialogue on building measures to strengthen trust and security through control of arming and disarming, exchange of military information, fight against illegal trade in small and light weapons, democratic control of armed forces, and through the implementation of coordinated measures and decisions in relation to that."
