The referendum to amend the Azerbaijani Constitution was organized in line with national legislation, Aleksandar Nikoloski, head of the Referendum Assessment Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), said at a press conference in Baku Sept. 27.

Nikoloski added that the referendum is valid.

He said the voting process was transparent and smooth.

“We would like to call on Azerbaijan to continue cooperation with the PACE co-rapporteurs,” he said, adding the PACE mission arrived at the invitation of the Azerbaijani side.
