Iraq's Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, confirmed on Tuesday that the operation to kill the terrorist organization ISIS's so-called Wali of Iraq was planned 4 months ago, and while revealing new details about it, he indicated that the organization is in a real collapse and there are no terrorist leaders in Iraq.

Al-Muhammadawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "This major operation was planned for 4 months, and it is a major qualitative intelligence operation by the Counter-Terrorism and National Security services, under the supervision and planning of the Joint Operations Command, and with continuous guidance and follow-up by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, through more than one meeting and over three months. Its goal is to pursue the remaining ISIS leaders and important elements and choose complex places such as the Hamrin Mountains, which are geographically complex and difficult to reach, and terrorist gangs consider them a haven because they are out of sight. Therefore, this operation is qualitative by all standards in terms of the collapse of the organization and the killing of its leaders, as well as in terms of reaching any spot in Iraq and pursuing terrorists wherever they are.".
