No: 142, 8 May 2017, Press Release Regarding the Visit of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, to Montenegro

H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will pay an official visit to Montenegro on 9-10 May 2017 upon the invitation of H.E. Srdjan Darmanoviç, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Montenegro. 

Within the scope of the visit, delegations headed by Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu and H.E. Srdjan Darmanoviç will hold a meeting. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu is also expected to be received by H.E. Filip Vujanovic, President of Montenegro and H.E. Ivan Brajoviç, Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro. 

The visit will enable both countries to address all aspects of their bilateral relations, as well as to reinforce their cooperation on regional and international issues. 

This visit, which will be realized on the eve of Montenegro's membership to NATO, is significant and timely since it will highlight Turkey’s support to Euro-Atlantic integration process of the Balkan countries, particularly that of Montenegro.
