On February 16, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with Nicholas Berliner, Senior Director of the U.S. National Security Council for Central Asia, and Brianna Todd, Director of the National Security Council for Central Asia.

During the meeting parties discussed topical issues related to improving bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for the development of bilateral relations. Special attention was paid to ensuring security in the Central Asian region, including the positive aspects of resolving border issues conducted by the Kyrgyz official authorities in recent years.

Ambassador Amanbaev provided a detailed explanation of the main projects that have been launched in recent years under the leadership of President Sadyr Zhaparov to strengthen social, economic and trade ties at the regional level.
