Kosovo continues to face long power cuts. In spite of the high temperatures during the summer season, when power supply consumption drops significantly, power cuts several hours a day continue.

Power supply distribution company (KEDS) says that the current lack of power supply must be blamed on the supplying company, Kosovo Power Corporation (KEK).

KEDS official, Viktor Buzhala says that the old KEK system doesn’t have the necessary capacities to supply consumers with power due to amortization. Thus, even in 2016, promises for a Kosovo with sustainable power supply without cuts remain a dream.

On the other hand, the government says that it has marked an improvement in power supply. /balkaneu.com/
