Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will create a joint working group for removal of trade barriers. Such agreement was reached between Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev.

The Ministers discussed implementation of the investment agreements and trade contracts signed during visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Uzbekistan, current projects and prospects of further development of trade and economic relations, industrial cooperation between two countries.

Bilateral trade grew almost 2.5 times for the last  7 years from $1.9 billion in 2016 to $4.6 billion in 2023.
