KAZAKHSTAN, RUSSIA, UAE MULL JOINT PROJECTS IN SPACE INDUSTRY

An official trilateral meeting with the participation of Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for President Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin was hold last Sunday in Dubai (UAE) within the framework of the 15th International Air Show “Dubai Air Show – 2017”, Press-service of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan informed November 13.

The parties discussed the possibility of developing joint investment projects in the space sector using high-tech innovative developments.

Sides had discussed the current state of activity of the Baikonur cosmodrome and the prospects for its further development.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour was interested in participaing of UAE in the joint Russian-Kazakh project Baiterek.

In order to develop a further partnership and coordinate their activities the sides agreed to establish a tripartite working group for joint projects in the space industry.
