Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, stressed on Thursday the need to stop the aggression and violations in the Gaza Strip.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed today, during a phone call, with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the political and security situation in the region, as well as ways to develop fraternal relations and cooperation between Iraq and Qatar in areas of common interest."
