Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein and his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, stressed on Wednesday the importance of holding the fourth edition of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Jean-Noël Barrot," noting that "during the call, a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed, most notably developments in the region after the cessation of war and the entry into the ceasefire phase, as well as the general situation in the Middle East."
