The Iraqi Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, and Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the League, Mohammed Samir, affirmed on Tuesday the importance of intensifying coordination between their respective missions.

The Iraqi Embassy in Egypt stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, received the Permanent Representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the League, Ambassador Mohammed Samir, at the embassy headquarters.”

“During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint coordination between the two brotherly countries within the framework of the Arab League, particularly with regard to unifying positions on issues of common interest and supporting mechanisms for collective Arab action in a way that strengthens Arab solidarity and achieves shared interests,” the statement added.
