Iraq's National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed on Wednesday that the agreement between the United States and Iran is an important step that serves the interests of the region and the world.

The National Security Advisor's media office stated in a press release, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji received the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, Glenn Miles."

According to the statement, the two sides discussed "strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Australia and ways to continue cooperation between the two friendly countries on all levels, as well as reviewing the latest developments on the regional and international scenes."
