Iraqi Government Spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi announced on Monday that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi will soon visit Iran and Turkey. He noted the growing interest in Iraq’s role in supporting dialogue and easing regional tensions, while reaffirming that restricting weapons to state control is an independent national decision.

Al-Aboudi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi will soon visit the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey,” explaining that the visits come as part of the Iraqi government’s program aimed at strengthening Iraq’s relations with neighboring countries and regional and international partners, particularly following the positive outcomes of Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi’s official visit to the United States.
