IRAQ: NEGOTIATIONS RESUME WITH ANKARA ON IRAQI-TURKISH PIPELINE AGREEMENT

Iraq's Ministry of Oil announced on Tuesday the resumption of negotiations with Ankara regarding the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline agreement.

"A delegation from the ministry held a meeting yesterday, Monday, in the Turkish capital, Ankara, with the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to discuss ways to reach a new agreement for transporting crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline," included a statement by the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement added that "the Iraqi side was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Basim Mohammed Khudair, while the Turkish side was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ahmet Berat Çonkar, in the presence of the Director General of the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the Director General of the North Oil Company, and the Directors General of the Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Internal Control, Legal, and Economic Departments at the ministry's headquarters."
