Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received on Wednesday the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Iraq, Lee Jun-il.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the friendly relations between the two countries, discussing ways to develop bilateral cooperation across various fields, “advancing it toward broader horizons that serve the mutual interests of both friendly nations and peoples,” according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Al-Sudani pointed to “the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and joint action to expand cooperation in different sectors, particularly investment, energy, education, and technology,” emphasizing “Iraq’s keenness to cooperate with and benefit from the work and expertise of South Korean companies operating across the country.”
