For Greece, it is contradictory for a manufacturing country to sell weapons systems to two countries that have differences between them.

Greece’s defence minister has asked the French ambassador to Athens to explain information suggesting that Paris is willing to sell METEOR missiles to Türkiye.

The issue has triggered strong reactions in Athens, given Greece's troubled relations with its Turkish neighbour, and could shake a long-standing traditional alliance between the two EU countries.
