Yang made the remarks during a meeting here with Tomislav Nikolic, former Serbian president and now president of Serbian national council for coordination with China.

Yang said the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Serbia witnessed substantial development under the leadership of heads of the two countries.

China stands ready to work with Serbia to integrate the Belt and Road Initiative with Serbia's development strategies, Yang said, adding that he believed the Serbian national council for coordination with China will play an active role in promoting bilateral cooperation.

For his part, Nikolic said Serbia is willing to use the national council as a platform to strengthen cooperation with China on infrastructure, capacity, and mineral products.
