GERB Party Chairman and former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov was unanimously re-elected to the post of leader at the party's National Meeting.

Borisov, commenting that "commanders are not changed during the war", offered to continue their duties for vice-presidents Tomislav Donchev and Daniel Mitov. Publishing a political statement, GERB announced that it would work for a new government and form a shadow government, following the strategy of early elections. According to GERB, the current cabinet is failing in terms of war in Ukraine, social policy, price controls and inflation.
