The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan expressed concern over recent statements by Russian officials addressing issues it considers strictly related to Azerbaijan’s internal affairs.

The remarks followed a meeting held in Moscow on April 1 between Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, after which Russian officials continued to reference the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan in public discussions.

At that meeting, President Putin highlighted the situation around Garabagh as “the most sensitive issue” still remaining on the agenda.
