The prosecutors general of Azerbaijan and Georgia have held talks in Baku on strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating transnational crime, with discussions focusing on asset recovery, extradition and legal assistance.

The meeting took place during a working visit to Azerbaijan by a Georgian delegation led by Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze at the invitation of Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

During an extended meeting, the two sides highlighted the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia and emphasised the role of cooperation between their prosecutor's offices in improving the effectiveness of criminal investigations, protecting citizens' rights and addressing cross-border crime.
