During  a press- briefing on March 26, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared that the government is prepared to hold multiple referendums if necessary to secure public approval for a new Constitution.

He noted that if the first  referendum fails,  the ruling party is  prepared to return to the public for "more explanatory work". "We  will go to our people, convince them, explain, and hold a referendum  again. I don't see any problem with that," Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister beleives that an honest dialogue with citizens  will lead to understanding. "Because we represent our people. We are  not representatives of an empire, whose words are incomprehensible to  the people," he emphasized.
