On 2 April, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a group of Diaspora Armenian investors led by President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia Gagik Makaryan, reports the press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the meetings with investors, as well as the discussions on improvement of the business climate and various investment projects, adding that they provide government officials with a good opportunity to learn about the raised issues, problems and recommendations.
Makaryan informed that new groups of investors are planning on visiting Armenia soon and are interested in implementing investment projects in various sectors in Armenia due to the improvement of the business climate.
Afterwards, the investors introduced the future investment projects in the spheres of energy, construction and latest technologies and engaged in a discussion on those projects.
Pashinyan stated that the Government of the Republic of Armenia welcomes the businessmen’s initiatives and is ready to provide assistance in the implementation of investment projects within the scope of its instrumentation. The Prime Minister also recommended that the investors become familiar with the government’s investment projects in the energy sector and participate in the tenders, if possible.
The investors stated that they welcome the policy of Pashinyan’s Cabinet and the actions being taken to improve the business climate and expressed certainty that they will contribute to not only engagement of foreign investors, but also the consolidation of the potential of Diaspora Armenian businessmen in the homeland.
