ARMENIA AND GEORGIA DISCUSS EXPANDING BILATERAL DEFENSE COOPERATION

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, during a meeting with visiting Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, welcomed the development of Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the defense sector and expressed full support for this process, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

Papikyan, in turn, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector and conveyed greetings from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Kobakhidze.

During their conversation, the importance of long-term and stable peace in the region was emphasized. Both sides also highlighted the strategic relations between Armenia and Georgia and underlined the effectiveness of periodic contacts between high-level delegations. The meeting was also attended by Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan.
