Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed on Wednesday the designation of Ali Al-Zaidi to form the new government, wishing him success.

"I wish the Iraqi Prime Minister-designate, Ali Al-Zaidi, every success in forming the new Iraqi government in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the Iraqi people for security, well-being, and prosperity," Aboul Gheit said on X, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
