After another shipment of Russian goods reportedly exported to Armenia via Azerbaijan, officials in Yerevan are eyeing cargo exports to Russian via a similar route.

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk confirmed that Armenia is discussing Russia the possibility of exporting its cargo through Azerbaijan.

“This concerns ensuring the return cargo transportation from Armenia to Russia through Azerbaijani territory. These are developments that recently would have seemed unlikely,” Overchuk told the Russian 24 channel, recalling that Russia has already exported grain to Armenia via railway through Azerbaijani and Georgian territory.
