As part of the pilot project, a convoy of 10 fully loaded trucks will travel from Uzbekistan through Tajikistan to China. The agreements were reached during negotiations between the two countries’ ministers of transport - Ilhom Mahkamov and Azim Ibrohim, UzA reported.

The parties are considering jointly launching shipments to China via the new China – Tajikistan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran– Türkiye – Europe multimodal corridor. Permits for international cargo transportation will be issued electronically.

The transport corridor was first presented in 2022 in Dushanbe at the International Logistics Development Conference.
