President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Feridun Sinirlioğlu, who arrived in the country on an official visit, on 21 May.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed issues of further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE in economic-environmental, political, and humanitarian areas.

Satisfaction was expressed with the high level of open and constructive dialogue, as well as the consistent strengthening of Uzbekistan’s interaction with the OSCE and its specialized institutions. It was noted that the organization’s leadership regularly visits Uzbekistan, and OSCE/ODIHR missions participate in monitoring electoral processes in the country.
