Uzbekistan and China are set to collaborate on the creation of a new industrial technology park in the Samarkand region. The initiative, backed by Chinese investors, was announced by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov recently met with a Chinese delegation led by Wang Zhiyong, head of Xinjiang New Vision Investment Development Company, and Zhang Xuan, head of Envision Energy. Discussions centered on plans for a 300-hectare scientific and technological industrial park. The project envisions 12 investment initiatives, alongside dedicated research and logistics zones.
