“Georgia is a main strategic partner of the US,” Vice President Mike Pence said in a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, according to APA’s local bureau.

The US supports Georgia’s territorial integrity and its efforts to become a NATO member.

“We are committed to our efforts to strengthen security in Georgia. The US is willing to continue to strengthen the bilateral relations with Georgia,” Pence said.

Kvirikashvili, in his turn, thanked Pence for his country's support.

“The US supports the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Georgia and Russia. We highly appreciate the US position on Georgia’s territorial integrity,” he noted.
