US Ambassador Hans Klemm committed to further strengthening the strategic partnership his country has with Romania by hosting the biggest commercial mission that has ever came to Romania.

“This autumn, we will host the most numerous commercial mission that has ever come to Romania and we will encourage the investments between our countries, both ways,” the ambassador said in a speech at the July 4 reception the US Embassy organized in Bucharest.

Romania will be the host-country of the 10th Trade Winds event organized by the US Trade Department, in October this year.

Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis also gave a speech at the Independence Day reception underlining that the strategic partnership between US and Romania was stronger than ever after his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House. He also urged the new Government to maintain a predictable and transparent legislation and the rule of law.

“For foreign investors, and for Romania to draw American companies, for example, it’s necessary to ensure an attractive and stable general climate, with a predictable and transparent legislation, and a reduced bureaucracy, as well as to respect the rule of law,” Iohannis said.
