“Azerbaijan has become the leading state of the region and plays a role of locomotive in the international projects,” Ukraine`s FM Pavlo Klimkin has told AZERTAC in an exclusive interview.

The minister said that Azerbaijan is one of the world`s exemplary countries in terms of multiculturalism and religious tolerance. “I am pleased that friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine are steadily developing. Of course, this friendship has a very ancient history. During my every visit to Baku I see big progress. And undoubtedly your country is really the leading state of the region,” Klimkin noted.

The Ukrainian FM congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

A number of events marking the centenary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic were held in the Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivs, organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
