Government also terminates agreement with Russia on technical protection of information

Ukraine's Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee has decided to cease diplomatic relations with Russia

This was stated by MP Volodymyr Parasyuk, according to the Ukrainian news agency TSN.

The draft resolution was adopted during a meeting of the committee on March 30. According to Parasyuk, the document may be considered on 11 April.

The document states the reasons for terminating diplomatic relations with Russia are as follows: violating Ukrainian citizens' rights, seizing Ukrainian citizens and holding them hostage in Russia, violating the principles of international immunity, including those of Ukrainian and PACE MP Nadiya Savchenko.

On March 30, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers also decided to suspend an agreement with Russia on cooperation in the field of technical protection of information.

"We are terminating the agreement. No objection may arise," Interfax-Ukraine quotes Ukraine's PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk as saying.
