UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Minister for European Neighborhood and the Americas Wendy Morton will make her first visit to Armenia on February 16.

During this two day visit, the Minister will officially open the new British Embassy office in Yerevan, as a symbol of the strengthening links between the people of the UK and Armenia. She will also have meetings with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian and President Armen Sarkissian.

Wendy Morton will pay a visit to the Vanadzor Technology Centre to meet female entrepreneurs and women involved in business and innovation in Armenia.

Ahead of the visit, Wendy Morton said:

“The UK is committed to our enduring friendship with Armenia. I look forward to meeting Foreign Minister Aivazian and President Sarkissian to discuss the many opportunities for our countries to work together to tackle global challenges such as climate change and Covid-19.”
